AIRP, Innovative Packaging Solutions to New and Old Economy, Announces New Product, New Customer Order Air Packaging Technologies Inc. establishes a foundation for further growth Valencia, California, USA, May 04, 2000 /PR Newswire/ - - Air Packaging Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: AIRP), award-winning high-tech innovator in patented, inflatable transparent packaging for the global technology and medical industries, today announced confirmation of the Company’s largest order to date and one that establishes a foundation for further growth. The new order is initially for 200,000 units of the Company's latest product, called Suspend-A-Pakä, and will be used to ship an internet access device. Details of this device and the name of the client company cannot be revealed for competitive reasons. The device will be shipped in the Suspend-A-Pak over a twelve month period beginning May 2000 and, based on discussions with the customer, this could be an ongoing project with substantial additional quantities to be shipped after the initial order is filled. Depending upon demand for the device, as many as five million units could be shipped over the next twelve months. Donald Ochacher, CEO and President of Air Packaging Technologies, stated: “We have been working for some time to develop a product which can be used as primary protective packaging to compete economically with conventional packaging materials like bubble wrap, loose fill and corrugated. We believe that our Suspend-A-Pak is the answer. It consistently outperforms traditional cushion packaging in drop and vibration tests and, because it uses 60% less material than our conventional Air Boxä, opens up a new high volume market for us that was not previously available. “What is particularly encouraging about this order," Mr. Ochacher continued, "is that our Suspend-A-Pak design will be used to ship products to hundreds of thousands of internet users per month, many of whom may have businesses for which our product will be suitable and who, in addition, regularly purchase products over the internet. We are extremely hopeful that this exposure to a perfect target audience for our technologically advanced and environmentally conscious packaging will generate additional sales opportunities.” Further information on Air Packaging Technologies Inc. can be obtained from its corporate website, www.airbox.com.
