SUPER STRONG FILM REPLACES MULTI-LAYER SACKS AND FIBER DRUMS HOUSTON, TEXAS – March 21, 2000 – Shipping sacks made from cross-laminated Valéron® Strength Film can replace thicker gauged multi-wall and low-grade poly sacks by offering high burst strength, unbeatable tear-resistance and high-puncture resistance. The perfect choice for shipping hazardous, toxic or high-value products that must comply with D.O.T. or UN regulations, Valéron Film-based shipping sacks are also used in export, photographic, industrial, chemical, and lawn and garden chemical packaging. Durable block-bottom open-mouth bags and block-bottom valve bags are so strong they can replace fiber drums. For added protection in shipping, Valéron Film sacks can stand up to repeated handlings, temperature extremes of –70°F to 200°F and are weather resistant. Valéron Strength Film does more than protect products from damage or loss during shipping. Packages and sacks made with recyclable Valéron Strength Film offer source reduction benefits too. Thinner gauges can equal the strength of multi-wall sacks and reduce waste. Easily printable, the smooth film surface readily accepts printing, coatings or laminations. Valéron Strength Film is also used in the tag and label industries, for banners and signage, security envelopes and in construction and agriculture barriers. It is available nationwide in thicknesses from 2.5 mil to 12 mil and in widths up to 80” wide.
