AUSPACK'99 - Exhibition

This article submitted by Rodney Cox on 09/01.

AUSPACK’99 Australia’s international exhibition for Packaging Machinery and Materials comes to Melbourne from Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd October 1999. This is the first time that AUSPACK will be held in Melbourne with the venue being Australia’s largest and most modern exhibition facility, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (MEC). We are very excited about taking AUSPACK to Melbourne said Rodney Cox, Event Manager from the organisers ETF. Melbourne based exhibitors who have supported the expo in Sydney for over a decade can now enjoy hosting their industry showcase, while interstate and overseas exhibitors can reap the benefits of reaching this significant market. AUSPACK has again received the endorsement of Australia’s three major packaging bodies, the Australian Packaging Machinery Association (APMA) who host the event, the Packaging Council of Australia (PCA) and the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP). This reflects AUSPACK’s importance as the major marketing showcase for the industry. Since the Mid 1980’s AUSPACK has provided a cost effective way for buyers and sellers to do business said Max Dowzer, Chairman of the APMA, Taking the exhibition to Melbourne represents an important step in the growth of the event. Co-incidentally for 1999 Australia’s international expo for plastics and rubber processing AUSPLAS is being held concurrently at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Another reason that the companies from Australia, New Zealand and the Asian region who require packaging as part of their manufacturing process will come to Melbourne and attend AUSPACK.
