ISTA Test Standards Updated

The International Safe Transit Association has revised and republished its
Preshipment Test Procedures 1, 1A, 2 and 2A. Anyone using these test methods
should obtain the new versions. Members of ISTA have been mailed copies, others

Most changes are editorial in an effort to increase clarity and readability, but there
are two technical changes. The random vibration alternative test method no longer
requires the packaged-product to be held securely to the surface of the vibration
system. The drop test sequence starting point has also been changed.
