FREE-FLOW PACKAGING WINS NATIONAL RECYCLING COALITION'S 1996 OUTSTANDING
RECYCLING INNOVATION AWARD

Redwood City, CA...September 20, 1996...Free-Flow Packaing Corporation
received one of the the awards given by the National Reycycling Coalition for
programs and individuals which made exemplary strides in moving recycling
forward. Free-Flow won the 1996 Award for Outstanding Recycling Innovation
for a the company's extensive polystyrene recycling program.

At an awards ceremony held September 17 during the Coalition's Annual
Congress and Exposition in Pittsburgh, PA, Virginia Lyle, Free-Flow's Manager
of Environmental Affairs, accepted the award. "This is an enormous honor for
our company." stated Lyle, "We're recycling 8 to 10 million pounds of
polystyrene each year, and it is wonderful to be recognized for our effort."

Each year, the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) honors the nation's top
organizations and individuals whose work has advanced recycling across the
United States. In selecting the winners each year, the NRC awards committee
searches for innovations, leadership, commitment and excellence.

"This year's winners represent the nation's most exceptional efforts to
reduce waste and conserve resources through recycling. The 1996 Awards
program winners demonstrate the extent to which the actions of a single
company can impact an entire country," said Mark Lichtenstein, NRC President.

The NRC is a non-profit, 4,50member organization which represents diverse
interests committed to the common goal of maximizing recycling as an integral
part of waste and resource management. The coalition, based in Alexandria,
VA, provides technical education, disseminates public information, shapes
public and private policy on recycling, and operates programs that encourage
recycling market and economic development.
