Introduction ------------ BLISS Group promoters,with experience in the packaging industry, developed Jumbo Bags using Jute in 1984. Finding it not cost effective, they developed Jumbo Bag using HDPE fabric, in 1986, which was more cost effective. This product was marketed in India in small quantities. Foreseeing bright prospects for bulk transportation, the promoters decided to start a company to manufacture Jumbo Bags in large scale. Their study of the Jumbo Bag market overseas has encouraged to start an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) exclusively for making Jumbo Bags. Thus Jumbo Bag Limited came into existence in 195 for the manufacture of Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC) with an installed capacity of 720,000 bags per annum. Products -------- Jumbo Bags Limited,mainly produces Jumbo Bags (also known as Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) in various categories.These categories depend on the type of raw material used and also for the purpose of use. JBL produces bags based on Polypropelene. These bags are custom built to meet the customers requirements.
