LACEA is a transparent thermoplastic resin, polylactic acid. LACEA is unique since its raw material is derived from renewable resources such as corn, not from fossil resources. The processed products for packaging can be degraded in compost after use. A new concept of biorecycling will be realized using this type of product in the coming century.
